Joi Henry is theater manager and performer from Brooklyn, New York, She earned her BFA from Howard University’s Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts, and has gone into the workforce with the goal of upholding black excellence in the entertainment industry. Throughout her career, she has balanced performing and management. From the female swing & understudy for The Amen Corner and JaJa’s African Hairbraiding in Washington, DC to the Assistant Company Manager for the 1st National Tour of The Wiz, she truly does it all . After spending some time performing and managing in Atlanta, GA, she has returned home to New York. Joi views the entertainment industry as her happy place and aims to bring everyone the same light she feels no matter what part she plays. Though her degree is performance-based, her goal is to be involved in all aspects of the performing arts industry. It is paramount that diversity is in every corner of the industry and Joi aims to be a part of that change.
